Here I go with another post, which will let you know about the preparation few of the BITS students took to get admission into BITS. It is every engineer’s dream to study at prestigious colleges like BITS, IIT’s in India. So for me the inspiration of going to these institutes came from my cousin who went through all the competitive exams and is very successful person today. Today I am proud to be a BITSIAN.
The second thing was constant motivation from my father who always helped me in difficult situations and I got across all the hurdles between me and BITS.
The third thing was my consistent preparation to realize my dream which started right from 9th standard onwards with a foundation course in science and maths and then getting into the top coaching institute in Hyderabad to start preparing for the competitive exams like BITSAT, IITJEE etc.
The main principle which was taught to me was giving importance to concepts rather than running after shortcut methods and techniques which really helped me a lot in preparing for these competitive exams as I have seen many of friends who went after these shortcuts didn’t fare well.
Apart from all these was my consistent study and regular practice that made my path to these exams easier. Also important was following standard textbooks and notes on the advice of seniors. It also helped to be in constant touch with seniors and sharing there experiences in these exams. Also important was solving of previous year question papers and other model papers to get tuned to the examination style.
And that’s a brief account of my preparation for BITSAT and other competitive exams.

gettin into iit's,bits which r d best institutes in d country was my dream right from 10 th............lookin upto my cousin who passed out from iit powai was an inspiration 4 me.
i did my schoolin from hyderabad public school,begumpet......then did my intermediate from narayana JC sr nagar,hyd ..v had tough competition btw d students allover india every week ....so i was never tensed when i wrote these exams. our sirs gave us good notes apart from d standard textbooks which v were asked 2 follow...... v were never taught any shortcuts & therefore followed d right method.v were given many assignments almost everyday which i did solve & helped me in d exams.......i was always in touch wid my long term friends who did share their experiences.......apart from these self study at home was equally important without which v can't clear any of d exams.....i did work 4 12-13 hrs daily....around 2-3 months b4 d exams i kept solvin previous yr papers & few mock test papers.... this is how i prepared 4 all d competitive exams!!!!!

when i finished 10 th, i hardly new what branch i m gonna choose and now i got 324 in bits ,3k in aieee , 6k in iit. so if i can do it any one cud do it, all one needs is motivation.
i am frm delhi public school, fbd. my school is one of d best and thus there was immense comp. with my batchmates. thus i was always on my tows. few tips that i wud like to give r:
1.prepare a diary/timetable.every night plan wat u'll be doing later in d day.
2.keep ur room filled wid motivational quotes/iits/bits pictures.
3.practice a lot( i mean a lot) on ur speed....very imp.
regarding course everyone knows it...no special mention reqd.
4.(this is one which i followed...others may find it funny) whenever u r listening to a song imagine whatever u want be jist of the song.eg. like chak de india, or any love song in which hero is craving for his girl imagine that u r craving for ur goal.
5.do ur ncert well but focus more on ur coaching material
